Joseph L. Eremus, MD
High School: After serving his two years of military service – one at the 121 Evac Hospital in Seoul, Korea, Dr. Eremus began his practice in Orthopaedic Surgery here at Bryn Mawr Hospital. His interest sparked by his chief of Orthopaedics at Temple, Dr. John Lachman, Dr. Eremus focused on the care of problems involving the foot and ankle region. Over the past thirty years since finishing his residency training he has developed his practice especially in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the foot and ankle. Conditions such as bunions, hammer toes, arthritis, heel pain, fractures, sprains, Achilles tendon problems, and other maladies and deformities. Treatment can be in the form of non-surgical measures such as medication, therapy, and orthotics and bracing, as well as surgical treatments when indicated. He joined the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society; this is a group of Orthopaedic Surgeons who specialize in the care of this often problematic and, also, often neglected region of our bodies. As a board certified Orthopaedist in Orthopaedic Surgery he is also part of the Orthopaedic on-call service at Bryn Mawr Hospital and, as such, treats fractures and other injuries involving the musculoskeletal system. He is a member of: He lives in Rosemont and has been married since 1969. He has two children. He enjoys his family and friends, golf, fly-rod trout fishing, and working in his garden at home.
