He currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Jefferson Medical College. After graduating Magna cum laude from Lafayette College where he was Tau Beta Pi, he attended Penn State University in 1994 and received a Masters of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Dr. Jones worked as an engineer for two medical device companies where he developed instruments, implants, and biomaterials for surgical fixation of the skeleton. Dr. Jones earned his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine. His 5 years of training in orthopaedic surgery were spent at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, one of the country’s leading trauma canters. He was awarded a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at The C.V. Starr Hand Center in New York City as well as pediatric congenital hand surgery at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas. Dr. Jones is a member of numerous professional societies, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and American Association for Hand Surgery. Originally from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Dr. Jones currently resides in Bryn Mawr with his wife and two children. He enjoys playing drums in the garage, spending time with his family, and many sports including golf, skiing, surfing, running, and tennis. |
