Hand Surgical Associates
Hand Surgical Associates (HSA) is the subspecialty component of our practice dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of hand and upper extremity conditions. HSA include two surgeons who are board certified in both orthopaedic surgery and surgery of the hand as well as an on-site certified hand therapist. HSA provides comprehensive care of the upper extremity. The conditions treated at HSA include acute injuries (such as fractures, sprains, and lacerations), degenerative problems (such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis), nerve problems (such as carpal tunnel syndrome), and tendinitis (such as tennis elbow) along with the many other issues that can involve the hands and upper extremity. Our on-site hand therapy provides meaningful exercise programs under friendly supervision and custom molded splints that compliment our physician's care for both surgical and non-surgical treatment options. An on-site x-ray unit is also available to expedite your care. HSA emergent and after-hours care are also available through the Bryn Mawr Hospital Emergency Room.
