Medical Assistant
Principal of Objective
Functions as a member of the practice clinical care delivery team to provide selected clinical care to patients under the direction of the provider. Perform clerical/administrative duties under the direction of the Practice Manager and/or Provider.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct support to clinical provider to include rooming patients, obtaining vitals, documenting clinical information, assisting in minor office procedures, preparing exam rooms before and after visit, and restocking exam rooms as required by practice.
- Provides direct support and coordination for procedures requiring special requirements.
- Provides direct support and coordination for scheduling surgical procedures and other clinical testing required by the clinical provider.
- Demonstrates flexibility and is able to initiate, accept and adapt to changing priorities.
- Competency in the managed care referral process with demonstrated understanding and mastery of referrals, prior authorizations, and all insurers’ requirements.
- Demonstrates clinical competency as determined by Clinical Provider.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of a program for Medical Assistant/Administrative Medical Assistant required.
Experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician office practice setting preferred. Current BLS level CPR for healthcare provider certification. Computer knowledge and skills required.

Surgical Scheduler:
Principal of Objective
Functions as a member of the practice clinical care delivery team to provide surgical scheduling and coordination to patients under the direction of the provider. Perform clerical/administrative duties under the direction of the Practice Manager and/or Provider.

Responsibilities – Surgical Scheduler:
- Provides direct support to clinical provider to include surgeons block time coordination, surgical procedure coordination with patient, and scheduling of patient procedure.
- Provides direct support to coordinate procedures with corresponding facility where procedure will be performed.
- Provides direct support and coordination for scheduling surgical procedures and other clinical testing required by the clinical provider including the handling of abnormal results.
- Coordinates with surgical reps various equipment protocols required for stated procedures.
- Demonstrates flexibility and is able to initiate, accept and adapt to changing priorities.
- Competency in the managed care referral process with demonstrated understanding and mastery of referrals, prior authorizations, and all insurers’ requirements.
- Demonstrates clinical competency as determined by Clinical Provider.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of a program for Medical Assistant and/or other Clinical Program or 3+ years of experience in Orthopaedic practice. Strong Medical Terminology and understanding of Orthopaedic Procedures required. Computer knowledge and skills required.

Telephone Operator:
Principal of Objective:
Functions as a member of the administrative team to provide assistance and direction for all telephone inquiries and assistance regarding telephonic and/or email questions and answers. Performs clerical/administrative duties under the direction of the Management Team.
Responsibilities – Telephone Operator:
- Provides direct support to telephone operations and call center to answer all calls in a timely, professional, and efficient manner.
- Provides direct support and coordination for scheduling patient appointments.
- Provides direct support and coordination for patients requiring special needs and/or questions.
- Provides direct support and coordination for processing telephone messages to appropriate clinical team member.
- Demonstrates flexibility and is able to initiate, accept and adapt to changing priorities.
- Competency in the managed care referral process with demonstrated understanding and mastery of referrals, prior authorizations, and all insurers’ requirements.
Required Qualifications
Associate Degree and/or medical background (emt, medical assistant) or prior customer service experience in a physician office practice setting preferred. Computer knowledge and skills required.
